Hi there.

Welcome to my3books, a blog that mostly talks about books and the publishing scene.  In my day job, I'm an independent sales rep for publishers small to medium-sized.

bookmarks: Lego-riffic ads for Pilot Extrafine pens. What is not to love?

Found tonight on Boing Boing (and via Flavorwire), a gallery of hilarious print ads for Pilot's Extrafine pens. (Nearly as hilarious to my eyes: the sharp-eyed blog commenters chiming in to call "fake!" and "photoshopped!" Because, well, duh.  These are Lego minifigs we're talking about.  Obviously they're not tattooed.  The best commenter was here on Boing Boing, running the numbers down.)

Here are my three favorites:

Harley Dude

 Sumo Dude
Tramp Stamp

I have to say the Lego Minifigure Ultimate Sticker Collection has to be one of our bestsellers for the year. We don't include these merch items on our "best of" or bestseller" lists, but any five year old kid in the neighborhood could tell you why the Lego Minifigures are cool. I'm not surprised marketing departments have found a way to make us want to play with them, too. Or, at least buy their ink pens!

I want to see one reading an e-book. Can't decide on what title though.

Shouldn't be hard, Shelley. I think most ereaders look similar to those 4x4 flat pieces that Lego uses for floor tiles. If you can tattoo up a minifig, sketching in some ebook chrome and text on a flat tile would be child's play!
